SHEET FOR DARC INSTRUCTORS
Below
you will find an outline of what transpires at the DARC Office when someone
submits a new course proposal. If you have any questions, please give us a call

- -Proposal
form is mailed out to interested individuals.
- -Any
prospective instructor who has any questions call the office at
610-269-9260.
- -Proposal
form is received by DARC.
- -Director
reviews proposal form, calls references, calls instructor with questions,
etc.
- -Director
checks with instructor about time, dates, location of class.
- -Director
works new program into next brochure.
- -DARC
takes registrations once brochure is mailed.
- -DARC
mails instructor contract(s) outlining: days, dates, location and fee for
class.
- -Instructor
mails signed contract back to the DARC Office.
- -Two
or three days prior to class the instructor should call DARC to check on
enrollment.
- -If
class is cancelled due to lack of enrollment, DARC calls those who have
registered and cancels & refunds money.
- -If
class goes sign(s) will be posted on the door for participants to know in
which room the class will be held.
- -Class
roster will be placed under door for instructor, if not faxed or picked up
by the instructor.
- -Custodians
should have the room open prior to scheduled class time.
- -Instructors
should be ready to go at the scheduled start time.
- -Each
week you will meet in the same room.
- -If
after the first class there was a no-show, please take the time to give them
a call to see why they did not attend. This
is good public relations. It helps you
as well as DARC.
- -If
someone not on your roster shows to a class please call DARC the next
business day to verify that they have registered.
- -DARC
classes are cancelled whenever the

School District
schools are closed or close early for an early dismissal.
This may require you to add another class onto the end of your
scheduled session of classes to make up the missed time.
We do have a weather line that you can call to see if classes are
cancelled, that number is 610-269-6540.
- -Please
make your participants aware of this phone number so that they will have it
in case of inclement weather.
- -Prior
to the end of session, please call to confirm class enrollment numbers with
DARC.
- -After
the class a check will be mailed to the instructor for the number of
participants enrolled. No taxes will be taken out of the check. If over $600
is earned in one tax year, DARC will mail you a 1099 form by the end of
January.
